What Does this MRI Report Indicate?

I received an MRI report back stating Impression: Moderate involutional changes of aging in brain parenchyma. Foci of signal alteration noted in the centrum semiovale, subcortical white matter and basal ganglia. Some of the changes may be secondary to patient s known migraines. No acute process identified. Interval progression of process seen when compared to previous examination done on 10/19/2009. I do not understand these findings. Please help. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The MRI report is suggestive of brain parenchyma changes indicate multi level sequence with alterations involving neurotransmitters, conduction pathways, degeneration and secondary histological changes through premature aging or else. However, a co-relation with details of symptoms are mandatory to comment on clinical grounds.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
